Have you seen the dark slimy mold coming out of your kid's rubber ducks? Well, I just did and I panicked. I immediately looked up how to clean them. And it turned out to be pretty a simple step.
What you need:
- 3 cups of hot water
- 1 cup of white vinegar
- a few drops of dish soap
Bathe toys in hot water, distilled vinegar and a few drops of dish soap. Vinegar dissolves soap scum while dish soap removes dirt. Soak the toys for at least 30 minutes. Squeeze hot water in and out of rubber ducks a couple of times to remove the mold inside, and scrub to clean outside. Rinse the toys in warm water and let dry completely!
It is recommended to repeat this step at least once a week. Sounds good to me :)
